27 January 2007 Harbor Cruise

Grave's Light Graves Light   photo by Soheil Zendeh

On 27 January 2007 The National Park Service sponsored a 3½ hour cruise around Boston Harbor. The sky was overcast, perfect for wildlife viewing over the ocean. A light southeast breeze and 20°F temperatures made the day pleasant for the 40 or so passengers on the Harbor Express catamaran which picked us up at the NE Aquarium dock in Boston.

The boat went out past the Brewsters to Graves Light, then south and west past Point Allerton, Hull, and into the coves and bays of the southern Harbor before cruising under the Long Island Bridge back to the Aquarium dock.

The complete list of birds (and seals) seen during the cruise is at the bottom of this page.
